The Leather: Horween® Chromexcel
Chromexcel is Horween's® most famous leather: combination-tanned with a heavy vegetable retan, then hot-stuffed with oils, waxes, and greases through 89+ processes over about 28 working days. The result is a supple, rich hand with the pull-up enthusiasts chase — and genuine water resistance for daily wear.
How It Ages
Chromexcel's hot-stuffed oils and waxes mean light scuffs rub out with your thumb, the pull-up deepens character at every flex point, and Natural's light tan richens dramatically with wear.
Sizing FAQ
I wear 34 jeans — what size? Order a 36. Best method: measure a belt you own from the buckle fold to the hole you use.
Will it stretch? About 1" (one hole) with regular wear — that's factored into the sizing advice.
Dress belt or jean belt? This is the ultimate jean and work belt. 1.5" is too wide for most suit trousers.
